Terms of Service · End User License Agreement
This agreement is between you and RootKey (bitbeam.cn) regarding your use of the RootKey software and the purchase of a license. By purchasing, downloading or using RootKey you agree to these terms.
1. License grant
- RootKey is sold as a one-time purchase with a perpetual license. After payment you may use the major version current at the time of purchase (e.g. v1.x) forever.
- A license covers a set number of devices per plan (1 / 3 / 5). Within that number you may use it in personal or commercial settings.
- Free updates: updates within the current major version are free. A future major version (e.g. v2) may be a paid upgrade; your existing license remains valid forever.
2. Your responsibilities
- Only you hold your master password. If it is forgotten, nobody — including us — can recover your data. Keep your master password and recovery information safe.
- Keep your activation email and activation code safe; do not resell or publicly distribute them.
3. Devices and transfers
You can unbind a device in License management to move the license to a new one; upgrade your plan if you need more devices. Abnormal or abusive activation may be restricted.
4. Prohibited conduct
- Using the software beyond the licensed number of devices; reselling, renting or distributing activation codes.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling or circumventing the licensing mechanism beyond what applicable law permits.
- Using the software for any unlawful purpose.
5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the software; our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you actually paid for the license. Loss of access caused by your own actions, such as forgetting your master password, is not covered.
6. Termination
If you materially breach these terms (for example by distributing activation codes or circumventing licensing), we may revoke the affected license, after which you must stop using the software.
7. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Questions about them: hi@bitbeam.cn. We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be announced on this page.
